Service options: On-site services Lagoon Cove is just to the southeast of the Broughton Archipelago. It’s a perfect rest stop during a longer adventure, or a destination all its own. The Marina is well protected on all sides, and its westerly view toward the cove entrance serves up beautiful sunsets, rainbows, and sightings of seals, porpoise, orcas, and humpbacks. The property consists of 154 beautifully timbered acres and 3000 feet of rocky shoreline and is home to a variety of birds, bear, mink, and otter. Boaters are welcome to stretch their legs on one of four hiking trails that meander through the property. Much of the land is an upland forest, but walk up to the main house and beyond to admire the gardens, fruit trees and berry bushes. The “backyard” is also home to the campfire circle and lawn games. Play Corn Hole, Ping Pong, and Bocce. Need a little exercise? We have an elaborate exercise course made up of no fewer than two stations. There are standing room only observation areas because sometimes watching other people exercise is enough of a workout.
Each evening, we host a potluck appetizer happy hour on the deck of the workshop. Each boat brings a small dish to share and, with any luck, a small bowl of spot prawns will be one of the dishes. The patio in front of the historic workshop is a great place for boaters to mingle over appetizers. Walking into the workshop itself is as close to time travel as most of us get. Don’t be fooled, however, the old workshop is still very much a WORK shop and may contain just what you need to take care of that little repair you’ve been neglecting.
